No, you won‘t be playing golf in the capital city, itself, but in the surrounding parklands of the Brussels region, the golf courses are a real treat. Generally well maintained and very welcoming. This is French-speaking Wallonia, but European and world-wide links through business, culture and politics ensure that English is widely spoken.

Brussels is a lovely city to visit, compact, and easily reached on public transport from any of our hotels, located in suburbs like Waterloo. The Martins group hotels can be relied on for quality and service and the long standing links with numerous clubs make for great golf packages, at very reasonable prices.

The summer is among the cheaper dates to travel , and courses are at their resplendent best at this time, too. Your drive from arrival in Calais is around 2 ¼ hours; the hotels and clubs are south of the city, which you don’t have to touch, by car. Good driving conditions and road links to all the courses. Expect to travel around 15/30 minutes to each venue.

Facilities: Beautiful château clubhouse, with tasteful modern touches. Pro-shop. Excellent practice facilities plus short 9 holes.

Our view: Le Chateau is by far the better of the 2 courses. One of the ‘must plays’ in the region.

Golf Club de Sept Fontaines - La Foret
